Monsoon rainfall and crop yield study
Test with statistics how much the monsoon affects crop production.
The brief
Everyone says the monsoon makes or breaks the harvest. Combine rainfall data with crop production by state and year, and measure how strongly rainfall (and its timing) affects yields for different crops, with confidence intervals. Good looks like: correctly joined data, correlation and regression with uncertainty, and clear charts per crop.
What you will build
- Join rainfall and production data by state and year
- Explore rainfall against yield per crop
- Fit regressions and report effects with confidence intervals
- Compare rain-fed and irrigated crops
- Write a plain-language summary
