Analyse how UPI, cards and NEFT have grown, month by month, from official data.
The brief
A fintech start-up's strategy team wants the real numbers behind India's digital payments story. Load official payment-system data into a database and show how volumes and values have grown by channel, which channels are slowing, and how average ticket sizes have changed. Good looks like: a clean database, reconciled SQL queries, and a short illustrated briefing for the strategy team.
What you will build
- Download monthly payment statistics from RBI and NPCI
- Clean and load them into a database
- Analyse growth, share by channel and ticket size in SQL
- Spot structural breaks such as demonetisation and the pandemic
- Write an illustrated two-page briefing
