Smart contract vulnerability scanner

Check Solidity contracts for common flaws such as re-entrancy and unchecked calls, and report them with fixes.

The brief

Bugs in smart contracts have cost billions because the code cannot be patched once deployed. Study five common vulnerability types, write vulnerable and fixed versions, and build a scanner that flags them in contracts with a short explanation and fix. Good looks like: each flaw demonstrated with an exploit on a local chain, a scanner that finds them with few false alarms, and a comparison with a free professional tool.

What you will build

  1. Study re-entrancy, overflow, access control, unchecked calls and randomness flaws
  2. Write vulnerable contracts and exploits locally
  3. Write the fixed versions
  4. Build a scanner for the patterns
  5. Compare results with Slither
  6. Write a checklist for developers
