Contract clause finder for legal review
Find and highlight the clauses a lawyer must check in a commercial contract.
The brief
Junior lawyers spend hours reading contracts to find clauses such as termination, liability and non-compete. Build a tool that finds these clauses in a contract, highlights them, and summarises the risk, and measure how much reading time it saves. Good looks like: strong recall on the key clause types, accurate highlights, and a review tool tested with law students.
What you will build
- Explore the clause types in the dataset
- Train or prompt a model to find clauses
- Evaluate recall and precision per clause type
- Add plain-language summaries and check them for errors
- Build the review tool
- Test it with law students and write the report
