Claims analysis in SQL

The brief

An insurer's claims head wants to know where claims are slow and which products pay out most. Load the claims data into a database and work out claim frequency, average cost, settlement times and claim settlement ratios like those IRDAI publishes for each insurer. Good looks like: reconciled SQL queries, clear definitions of each ratio, and a short management summary.

What you will build

1. Load policy and claim tables into a database
2. Define frequency, severity and settlement ratio
3. Compute them by product and region in SQL
4. Compare with published IRDAI figures
5. Write a short management summary
