Literature review agent
An agent that searches PubMed on a drug target, extracts findings into a table and drafts a cited review for a scientist to check.
The brief
Scientists spend days reading abstracts before a project meeting. Build an agent that searches PubMed on a drug target, reads the abstracts, extracts key findings into a table, and drafts a short review where every claim cites a paper, for a scientist to check. Good looks like: search and fetch tools, a findings table, a check that every claim is supported by its cited abstract, and the scientist's review step.
What you will build
- Build tools for PubMed search and abstract fetch
- Build the agent with LangGraph: search, read, extract, draft
- Extract findings into a structured table
- Check every claim against its cited abstract
- Evaluate on three targets with a scientist
- Measure cost and time per review
