Power plant output model
Predict a combined-cycle power plant's output from the ambient conditions.
The brief
A gas power plant's output changes with temperature, pressure and humidity. The plant needs an accurate model of full-load output to plan how much power it can promise the grid. Good looks like: a low-error model, the effect of each condition explained, and an output calculator for the operators.
What you will build
- Explore the relationship between conditions and output
- Train linear and non-linear regression models
- Compare errors with cross-validation
- Explain the effect of temperature and humidity
- Build a simple output calculator
