Urban air-quality early warning for Indian cities
Forecast pollution levels a day ahead and warn residents before air turns unhealthy.
The brief
Indian cities see dangerous pollution spikes, especially in winter. A city administration wants a one-day-ahead AQI forecast for each station, with warnings for schools and hospitals when air is expected to turn unhealthy. Good looks like: forecasts that catch most bad-air days, an analysis of what drives spikes, and a warning page residents could use.
What you will build
- Clean station data and handle missing readings
- Compute AQI and explore seasonal and city patterns
- Add weather data as features
- Train and compare forecasting models; focus on bad-air days
- Build a warning dashboard with a map
- Report the drivers of pollution and policy suggestions
