Drone flight log analyser

Read a drone's flight log, find what went wrong in a crash or hard landing, and score each flight.

The brief

After a failed drone flight, the answer is buried in thousands of log lines. Read an ArduPilot or PX4 log, plot attitude, motor outputs, battery and GPS, find the moment things went wrong, and build a tool that scores every flight for safety. Good looks like: a timeline of the failure with the evidence, a score that flags risky flights, and a short report that a pilot can act on.

What you will build

  1. Load a flight log with a log-parsing library
  2. Plot attitude, motors, battery and GPS
  3. Find the time and cause of a failure
  4. Build a flight-safety score
  5. Test on several flights
  6. Write a debrief for the pilot
