Gas sensor drift correction

Keep a gas-sensor array accurate for months as the sensors age.

The brief

Chemical sensors drift, so an electronic nose trained in January misreads in December. Using a three-year sensor-array recording, measure how the accuracy falls over time, and test ways to correct the drift without collecting new labelled data every month. Good looks like: a clear accuracy-against-time curve, at least two correction methods compared, and a recommendation on how often to recalibrate.

What you will build

  1. Load the sensor array batches in time order
  2. Measure accuracy as time passes
  3. Try drift-correction methods
  4. Compare methods on later batches
  5. Recommend a recalibration schedule
  6. Write a short technical note
