Database indexing and query benchmark

The brief

A slow page is often a missing index, but too many indexes slow writes. Load a large dataset into a database, run a set of typical queries with different indexes, read the query plans, and recommend the indexes that give the best balance of read and write speed. Good looks like: timings repeated enough to trust, query plans explained, and a recommendation with its cost.

What you will build

1. Load a dataset with millions of rows
2. Write 10 typical read queries and 3 writes
3. Measure with no indexes
4. Add single, composite and covering indexes
5. Read and explain the query plans
6. Recommend indexes for the workload
