Appointment, triage and follow-up agent

The brief

Hospital phone lines are jammed with booking calls, and urgent symptoms can be missed in the queue. Build an agent that books and moves appointments, asks screening questions, sends reminders, and passes any warning sign to a human immediately, logging every action. Good looks like: booking tools with permissions, a tested escalation rule, a log of every action, and success rate and cost per conversation.

What you will build

1. Design tools: calendar, patient lookup, reminders, escalation
2. Write the screening questions and warning signs with a clinician
3. Build the agent with LangGraph and immediate escalation
4. Test with 40 scripted conversations, including urgent ones
5. Measure task success, missed escalations and cost
6. Log every action for audit
