Clinical guidelines assistant with sources
A RAG assistant over ICMR and WHO guidelines that answers clinicians with the source section and refuses when unsure.
The brief
Doctors in busy hospitals cannot read every guideline. Build an assistant over ICMR and WHO guidelines that answers clinical questions with the exact section quoted, always advises clinical judgement, and refuses when the guidelines do not answer. Good looks like: a document pipeline for long PDFs, retrieval compared on 50+ test questions reviewed by a clinician, citations on every answer, and safe refusals.
What you will build
- Collect current ICMR and WHO guidelines
- Parse and chunk them by section with metadata
- Build hybrid retrieval with re-ranking
- Write 50+ test questions with a clinician
- Evaluate faithfulness and retrieval recall
- Deploy with citations, safety rules and an "I don't know" path
