Turn thousands of free-text survey comments into themes, sentiment and priorities for managers.

The brief

Employee surveys collect thousands of comments that no one has time to read. Group the comments into themes such as pay, workload, manager and growth, measure sentiment per theme and team, and list the top issues with example quotes (without identifying anyone). Good looks like: themes people agree are sensible, privacy protected in small teams, and a one-page summary for leadership.

What you will build

  1. Generate or collect 2,000 comments
  2. Clean and anonymise the text
  3. Cluster into themes with embeddings
  4. Score sentiment per theme and team
  5. Hide results for teams under five people
  6. Write the leadership summary
