Repeat fault analyser

Find the faults that keep coming back and their likely causes from maintenance and error records.

The brief

The same machines keep failing for the same reasons, but nobody connects the records. Combine error and maintenance records, write short technician-style notes for each event, cluster them to find repeat faults, and trace the likely causes. Good looks like: sensible clusters with names, the top repeat faults, and their link to components and conditions.

What you will build

  1. Join errors, maintenance and failures into events
  2. Write or generate a short note per event
  3. Embed and cluster the notes
  4. Name the clusters and find repeat faults
  5. Link repeat faults to components and conditions
