Maintenance planner and robot task agent
An agent that reads sensor alerts, checks spare parts and drafts a maintenance plan, and turns typed instructions into safe robot steps in a simulator.
The brief
Factories want agents that act, but safely. Build an agent that reads machine alerts, checks spare-part stock through tools and drafts a maintenance plan for approval; then extend it to turn a typed instruction into safe pick-and-place steps for a robot arm in a simulator. Good looks like: tools with clear permissions, human approval before any action, safety checks on robot steps, and success rate per task.
What you will build
- Build tools: alerts, stock lookup, work orders
- Build the planner agent with LangGraph and human approval
- Connect a robot arm simulator as a tool
- Turn instructions into checked pick-and-place steps
- Test on scripted alerts and tasks
- Measure success, unsafe actions blocked and cost
