EV range and temperature study
Test with statistics how temperature, speed and heating affect an electric car's energy use.
The brief
EV buyers worry about range in winter and on highways. Using real driving data from an electric car, test how outside temperature, speed and cabin heating change energy use per kilometre, with confidence intervals rather than anecdotes. Good looks like: clean trip-level data, correct tests and regression, and charts a buyer would understand.
What you will build
- Build trip-level energy use from the logs
- Explore energy use against temperature and speed
- Test differences and fit a regression model
- Report effects with confidence intervals
- Write a plain-language summary for EV buyers
