Indian traffic sign recogniser
Train an image model that recognises traffic signs, the first step of a driver-assistance system.
The brief
Driver-assistance systems must read traffic signs reliably, including Indian signs that differ from European ones. Train an image model on traffic sign images, test it on Indian signs, and study where it fails. Good looks like: accuracy per sign class, a test on Indian signs, and an honest look at failures in bad light.
What you will build
- Train a classifier on a large sign dataset
- Fine-tune and test it on Indian signs
- Evaluate per class and study confusions
- Test robustness to blur, darkness and rain
- Build a demo on uploaded images
